The heroes and villains of the twenty stories in Cat Tales, these are some of the coolest cats around.
Mama Kitty

The matriarch of our feral colony, Mama Kitty was abandoned by her owners when their plans to sell kittens didn’t quite work out. She found her way to our barn, and the rest is history.
Tiger Dad

Never bested in combat, and troubled only by Attack Kitty, his most ferocious son, Tiger Dad is the leader of the tabbies, the father of multiple generations, and the ruler of a square mile. His rivalry with Albino Kitty is the core story of Cat Tales.
Albino Kitty

Crippled in a pair of life-or-death confrontations with Attack Kitty, hounded ceaselessly by Tiger Dad, the Albino Kitty is the villain of our story. He leads the bicolor tribe and is the father of SNOBES.
Attack Kitty

The fastest, the most fearless, and the most beautiful tiger to roam our woods, Attack Kitty is the son of Tiger Dad and Mama Kitty. After breaking his neck while still a kitten, AK recovered to become the alpha cat of his generation. His goal: to kill Albino and rule the square mile with his father.
Broken Meower

He wasn’t expected to live — yet he did. Brother to Attack Kitty, he’s unable to make peace with his father — but neither is he willing to stay in the great indoors.
Snowball, aka SNOBES

Son to Albino Kitty and Magnum Mommy, SNOBES is perfectly constructed, impossibly strong, faster than any other cat alive, and desperately stupid. Trained to fight by Attack Kitty, SNOBES dreams of the day when he can avenge his father — but when he finds out who might have dealt the final blow, SNOBES will have to choose between his two lineages once and for all.
Christine McVie

When her mother was killed, Christine became the lead bicolor female. Her children have scattered to the four winds, but she has found solace in a friendship, and mouse-hunting partnership, with Attack Kitty. It’s not quite a Capulet and Montague situation, but it’s not far from it, either.
Neko

Pregnant while still a kitten herself, Neko is the bravest of the southern bicolors — or she was dropped on the roadside by a family that didn’t want her. Neko isn’t telling. Her children, the GS3, bear no resemblance to any other bloodline in the square mile. Her escape from captivity and last-minute return form an important plot point in the middle of Cat Tales.
The Sibbings, featuring “Ballsy”

Together, the three Sibbings controlled access to the morning meal — but Tiger Dad is committed to killing them or driving them off. The balance of power is an uncertain one, and the addition of Attack Kitty to the mix doesn’t make things easier for this outdoor tribe.
Floof

Delivered half-dead and half-formed, Floof is a massive but shadowy presence in the house. Her brother, SNOBES, is her staunchest defender but also her personal tormentor. That’s how it goes sometimes, isn’t it?
Magnum Mommy

Daughter to Mama Kitty and Tiger Dad, Magnum and her sister Hemi were both successfully pursued by Albino Kitty… and someone else. Her children have never seen the outdoors, and — with the exception of SNOBES — don’t want to.
Anastasia

Her father, the reclusive and supremely muscular Big Blue, was driven from the field by Tiger Dad — but not before Anastasia was conceived. Lovely and friendly to a fault, Anastasia’s biggest problem is keeping the weight off.
The GS3 — Hand-Wind, Hi-Beat, and Springdrive

Their fathers: unknown. Their mother: just a kitten herself. Their survival: dependent entirely on luck.
Fluffy Mommy and Fancy

Fluffy Mommy’s sole colorpoint daughter was too friendly for her own good — “Fancy” was either killed or stolen before she reached the sixth week.
V.P. Mouse Operations and the Nameless Three

Daughter to Mama Kitty and Albino Kitty, VPMO was killed before her kittens (by Tiger Dad) were weaned. The search yielded nothing, not even their bodies.
Cookies, Cream, and the Battle Kitty

The children of Christine McVie and her own father, Albino Kitty, all three of them disappeared in a single night, never to be seen again.
Dusty

The best hunter of his generation, Dusty struck out on his own shortly after he was weaned, and disappeared forever… until he didn’t.
Heckler and Koch
Heckler, likely sibling to Albino, lost his ears and tail in the winter of 2022-2023, then disappeared into the woods that summer. His best friend, Koch, followed him faithfully everywhere — including away from us.
Sister Kitty

Our first indoor cat, Sister Kitty takes no abuse from anyone, least of all her brothers.
